Blog #2 - Rejection of Cyberbullying

08/03/26

Before I say anything else, I want to preface that cyberbullying is real. Not "I think", not "I believe", it is.One thing I've noticed somewhat recently is whenever the topic of cyberbullying is brought up, many people like to say that it isn't a real thing, primarily stating that they can just "turn off their phone". Not only is this the only argument they have (that I'm aware of), it's also completely bullshit.First off, there are extensive studies and research done by tens, if not hundreds of psychological research centers, including the American Psychological Association. This alone should be enough to disprove their entire argument, but because the internet is known to not trust scientists, it won't be enough for them. The phrase "just turn off your phone" implies that cyberbullying is something that, once no longer online, has no real world effect. A sort of object permanence but.. different. Cyberbullying comes in many different forms, ranging from a hateful comment to being stalked and verbally harassed. Even if you do block someone, delete a comment, or whatever safety measures in place, people can and will find a workaround to continue cyberbullying if the case is severe enough.Along with that, turning off your phone doesn't just erase what was said or done. Victims remember all the things people said about them, and know about the lengths people or may or may not have gone to verbally harass them. Everyone reacts to information differently, and it will hurt people to know that there's people in the world, no matter how insignificant to them, that believe they are a terrible person and that the world would be a better place without them.I have a theory that a majority of people who say "cyberbullying isn't real" are people who go out of their way to make fun of every neurodivergent person they see, and say this to justify their constant hate to people who don't follow social norms. I have no evidence to back this up, as this is mostly based on loose correlations I've observed.I would like to say that cyberbullying, no matter how "small", does have big effects. I have been victim to it, mostly through hate comments on social media, which has caused me multiple times to delete/private videos and private my whole account out of shame. It is for this reason that, as of writing this, I have privated every video on my TikTok account. If people would just shut the fuck up and block people who make content they don't like, the world would be a better place. (Exceptions can be made if people are spreading misinformation but i digress). If you disagree with any of this, that's totally fine. If you want to try to reach out and tell me I'm wrong about this, I won't respond to you because I will assume you are a hateful loser... even though that probably won't mean much to you.

Blog #1 - Progress Without Dedication

07/24/26

I'm going to preface this blog by saying this entire thing is primarily in reference to Hypixel Skyblock. Because of that, I will be referencing terminology from that game that some people may not understand.Everybody has some games that they either want to reach endgame in or 100% finish. Whether that means completeing all achievements or simply completing a storyline, it's something everybody likes to do. In most games, it's not too much of a dedication to do. Even if it takes a couple hundred hours, you typically don't spend too much time doing one thing.Hypixel Skyblock is completely different. Similar to many other MMORPGs, reaching endgame and maxing everything out is something only the most dedicated of players can accomplish. This means THOUSANDS, possibly 10,000+ hours. One way to track progress is by your Skyblock Level, which ranges from 0 to 568 (and higher in future updates). A few things as reference: only 35 players have gotten the maximum possible XP as of writing this. And as someone with around 300 hours of playtime myself, I am all the way up to level... 90. Not even 20% of all XP-related tasks completed, and I'm in the top 5% of all players. The reason I bring this up is because I want to make more progress in this game, but I don't want to put thousands of hours in. Partially because I have less freetime and I could be doing other things, but also because every time I finish a 2-week "hypixel skyblock phase", I feel like I wasted those 2 weeks, despite my progress still being there when I return. But it's not always guaranteed to be there, because I have no idea when, or if, the server will shutdown.I've always wanted to have a forever world, and I've made decent progress (~130 In-Game Days) on one. The benefit of this compared to skyblock is that although both are extremely grindy, one will always be available since it's stored on my local files. Yet I always find myself wanting to progress in skyblock despite the fact all that time could be forever wasted.I don't really know how to close out this entry. I'm still stuck between normal Minecraft and Hypixel Skyblock, even though I typically find myself stalling on its grindy tasks. I'll probably find myself hopping back and forth barely doing anything, but I suppose it's alright as long as progress is made in the end, no matter how temporary.

Blog #0 - Introduction

07/23/26

This is my first time learning how subdomains work, so.. neat. I threw this website together in 10 minutes since it's technically a different site compared to my main one. I figured since the text itself was the main focus, I wouldn't try to hard to "stylize" it to make it look good. Hopefully this is easy to read.I haven't fully decided how I'm going to format this site yet. I'm thinking about adding "tags" to indicate topic, blog length, etc. but that's something I'll decide later. Along with that, I won't use site versions to keep track of when this site updates. I'll simply state whenever I change something whenever I made a new blog. Now, time to get this subdomain working...
